About Us

Rostra Theatre Society is the oldest amateur drama society at Bangor University. We're relaxed, fun, social and enthusiastic about all things drama and stage. We typically do between three to four shows a year, ranging from Blackadder, to Shakespeare, to self-written plays and modern classics.

If you're interested in acting, lights and sound tech, any other part of the theatrical process or just want to find some fun people to hang out with, don't hesitate to get in touch. Our main goals are to put on exciting shows and be a safe and fun environment for everybody to enjoy themselves. Our Instagram and Facebook page contains all information regarding play pitching’s, audition dates and play dates and locations. If you have any questions do not hesitate to directly message anyone on our friendly committee and we will help and answer anyway we can! :)

Cymdeithas Theatr Rostra yw'r gymdeithas ddrama amatur hynaf ym Mhrifysgol Bangor. Rydym yn hamddenol, yn hwyliog, yn gymdeithasol ac yn frwdfrydig am bopeth sy'n ymwneud â drama a’r llwyfan. Fel arfer byddwn yn llwyfannu rhwng tair a phedair sioe bob blwyddyn, yn amrywio o Blackadder, Shakespeare, dramâu a ysgrifennwyd gan aelodau’r gymdeithas a chlasuron modern.

Os oes gennych ddiddordeb mewn actio, bod yn dechnegydd goleuo a sain, neu unrhyw agwedd arall ar y broses theatrig neu dim ond eisiau cwrdd â  phobl ddifyr i gymdeithasu â hwy, mae croeso mawr i chi gysylltu â ni. Ein prif nodau yw llwyfannu sioeau cyffrous a bod yn amgylchedd diogel a hwyliog i bawb fwynhau eu hunain. Mae ein tudalen Instagram a Facebook yn cynnwys yr holl wybodaeth am gynnig dramâu i’w llwyfannu, dyddiadau clyweliadau a dyddiadau a lleoliadau dramâu.
