Bangor University Women’s Hockey Club is a friendly, welcoming club that offers training sessions, matches, and events for members.

 

Whether you have never tried hockey before, play now and again, or play regularly, we have a fun and relaxed atmosphere to play some sport and meet new people. Our club has a 1st team and a 2nd team who compete in their BUCS leagues weekly. 

 

The club prides itself on its family-like feel, with many players becoming good friends both on and off the pitch.

 

We currently compete in the North West Women's Hockey League in Division 5 on Saturdays, we have recently joined this league and hope it can help us progress as a club.

The club also competes in British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) on Wednesdays, with our 1st team in ICG Women's Northern Tier 3 and our 2nd team in ICG Women's Northern Tier 5.

 

We also hold fun, themed socials every Wednesday evening and every other Saturday, which start at our sponsored pub The Menai Hotel, and end in the uni club Academi. The social aspect of the club is a big factor, allowing us to bond off of the pitch and form new friendships and memories.
