Our ponds are incredibly diverse habits. Dozens of invertebrate species live in and around the water from water boatmen to dragonflies. These are food for frogs, toads and newts who use small ponds to breed, and the large ponds support waterfowl, including mallard ducks. Our garden bird species use the pond for feeding, and the grey heron also regularly visits even the smallest ponds, feeding on amphibians. The ponds provide small mammals including bats essential foraging and drinking resources too. The ponds need restoring, including a new wall, border plants and an information board. Your donation will go directly to helping fund this project and a donation to charity.
