Bangor University Canoe Club

ABOUT US

We are Bangor's canoe and kayak club. Joining BUCC is a great way to get out and explore the beauty of North Wales. As a club we welcome both experienced and new paddlers, we are more than happy to accommodate for the ability of each of our members. We have a wide range of equipment available to use for club activities, so don't worry if you don't have your own. We are out most weekends exploring some of the best white water Wales has to offer, as well as calmer rivers perfect for an introduction to the sport. We run lake sessions most Wednesdays at Llyn Padarn. For those wanting to give the sport a try or practice in warmer conditions, we run pool sessions every Monday evening. Whilst out on the water we have experienced coaches to guide you and help you develop your skills, ensuring you make the most of every trip. For more information follow us on Facebook and Instagram and feel free to contact any of the committee members.

We run training sessions for canoe and canoe polo on a Monday night at the Bangor pool at 8pm, as well as regular river trips to some of the best rivers north wales has to offer.

Whether you like playboating, slalom, river running, or just fancy a relaxing paddle through the beautiful welsh countryside, we do that!

Our canoe polo club also takes part in competitions, so if you fancy having a go at this sport, we would love to have you on the training sessions, straight after canoe on a monday night, at 9pm.
