Bangor University Students’ Union – Undeb Bangor reached the Top 10 Best Students’ Union in the UK in 7th position in the Whatuni Student Choice Award 2023.

The University was shortlisted in 4 other categories this year and the results were announced at an awards ceremony on the 26th of April. Bangor was 8th in the University of the Year category, which was awarded to Nottingham Trent University, 3rd for Halls and Student Accommodation, 5th for lecturers and teaching quality, and 10th for Postgraduate.

The Whatuni Student Choice Awards are awarded based on the reviews of students studying in the UK.

Nyah Lowe, Undeb Bangor President 2022-23 said: “I’d like to say a huge thank you to the students who took the time to review the University and the Students’ Union. It’s our students who make Bangor University and Undeb Bangor into the wonderful community it is, and it’s great to be recognised on a national level."

Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education, Professor Nichola Callow said, “The Bangor University community is delighted that our students have shown their support and appreciation for their University in a range of categories across the Whatuni? awards. Congratulations in particular to the Residential Life team for their bronze award for Halls and Student Accommodation.”
