Got something on your mind? You don’t have to wait for the “right time”, you can check out our current live campaigns below or jump straight into our Make a Change form anytime to share your ideas.
Our campaigns are shaped by what matters most to students. Throughout the year, we listen closely to student feedback and suggestions to help guide the issues we focus on and the changes we work towards. Alongside this, our elected Student Officers bring forward ideas and priorities from their manifestos, ensuring student voices are represented at every level.
Around exam periods and during wellbeing weeks and months, Undeb Bangor runs the long-standing Study Aid campaign to support students through more stressful times. In collaboration with the University Wellbeing Service, we offer free tea, coffee, and during warmer months, ice cream, along with stationery, art therapy kits, and other helpful resources.
Did you know? We have been running Study Aid every year since January 2014!
The Students’ Union runs regular giveaways of reusable period products throughout the year. That includes reusable pads, menstrual cups and period underwear. Keep an eye out for upcoming campaigns and don’t miss the chance to grab some useful items.
Our Relationships and Sex Education campaign supports students’ wellbeing through inclusive education, awareness, and activism around sex and relationships. We work with local and national organisations to ensure students at Bangor University Students’ Union can access free contraception and STI testing, alongside running regular sexual health stalls that provide information, resources, and open conversations around healthy relationships and sexual wellbeing.
Additional advice and support are available through the National Health Service, including free contraception and postal STI testing services.
We have partnered with the Sex Education Company to create a series of short educational videos exploring healthy sex and relationships. Check them out below!
You can collect free contraception, STI tests, and pregnancy tests from the Students’ Union, either next to reception or in the accessible toilet within the building.
Our Queer Space is a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for all LGBTQ+ students and allies within the Students’ Union. It’s a place to relax, connect with others, find support, or simply take a quiet moment during your day.
The space is located in the Students’ Union reception area and is open Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. To access the room, please ask at reception and a member of staff will be happy to help you in.
Whether you’re here to socialise, study, or just be yourself, you’re always welcome.
Y Lolfa is your student living room space, designed for comfort, connection, and a break from busy uni life. Located on the 3rd floor of Pontio, you’ll find the entrance just next to the University FabLab.
Access to the room requires your student card, so make sure you have it with you to get in.
Inside, you’ll find everything you need to relax or recharge between classes: microwaves, fridges, kettles, comfy chairs, games, and a TV, all free for students to use. Whether you want to study, socialise, or just take a breather, Y Lolfa is here for you.
The Activities Hub is a dedicated bookable space for student clubs and societies to come together, run events, rehearse, practice, and build community.
Located on the Ffriddoedd Halls of Residence site, just above BarUno, the hub offers several flexible bookable rooms, including a kitchen area for food prep and social activities.
Access to the building is via student card entry, so please make sure you bring your card with you when visiting.
Whether you're planning a society meeting, running a workshop, or hosting an event, the Activities Hub is here to support your student experience.
Our Sensory Room is a calm; quiet and supportive space located within the Students’ Activities Hub at the Ffriddoedd Halls of Residence site. Designed as a bespoke environment, it is available for all students and staff who may benefit from a low-stimulation space to relax, reset, or take a break from busy or overwhelming surroundings.
The room is especially helpful for students who are neurodivergent, experience anxiety or overwhelm, or have sensory sensitivities, and it provides a safe and welcoming space to support wellbeing throughout the day.
Accessing the Sensory Room does not require you to have declared a disability or to provide a reason for use. However, we strongly encourage students to connect with the University’s Disability Service to explore the wider range of support available.
To use the Sensory Room, students must first register their interest in order to gain access to the online booking system.
