RSPB Flight Club is a student-led volunteering group which organises monthly trips to RSPB reserves around North Wales - we provide students with practical skills that will aid them in a career in wildlife conservation (...or just a fun couple of hours on a Wednesday!).
Volunteering with us is the perfect way to meet like-minded people, make new friends, gain real skills in practical conservation, get hands-on in the outdoors, help conserve our local wildlife and see rare species up close. We're a super friendly and welcoming group and always love meeting new volunteers!
We've even been nominated for Best New Volunteering Project and winner of the High Sheriff award in recognition of the hard work of our volunteers and Project Leaders - so you know you're in good hands!

At RSPB Flight Club, you can get involved in real-world conservation projects having an impact on our local North Wales wildlife and habitats. Each month, we arrange a practical work party trip to a different site, where we'll assist RSPB with various conservation tasks. This could be restoring or managing habitat, surveying species or monitoring the environment. We also organise some crafty sessions like bird box building, or wax block making for use as biosecurity detectors. In addition, our camera trap volunteering project allows you to get involved in volunteering from home!
Each trip is different, and there's no pressure to come to them all - simply attend the sessions you're interested in! We aim to provide students with the skills to succeed in a career in conservation - or, if that's not what you're interested in, simply a relaxing day out in nature!
