Paddleboarding

Welcome to Bangor University’s Paddleboarding (SUP) Club! Our Club was established in 2021 and since then we have grown massively as a club.

We are a recreational club that run trips within Snowdonia National Park as well as exploring other waterways around North Wales and Anglesey! We have our own boards, wetsuits and life jackets which are all free for members to use out on trips, however members with they’re own kit are more than welcome to use their own.

Our club is open to all abilities and we have a qualified SUP Instructor on our committee who will be teaching any beginner members the skills they need to begin paddleboarding. In addition all of our committee members are trained with safety procedures and the basics on how to get people started.

As well as trips we also have socials every Wednesday night, with a different theme every week. We also run sober socials for those people who want to be involved with the club but don’t enjoy going out and drinking.

If you think you’d enjoy coming out to the lake with us or joining us for any socials; sign up to the club, follow us on instagram for updates on events, and we look forward to welcoming you into the club!

TRIPS:

  • Trip info will be posted on our Instagram: @bangoruni.sup - as well as on our Facebook group chat
  • Trips will usually be run on Wednesdays, however we sometimes run trips on weekends too
  • All trips are weather dependant
  • Meeting point for trips is Bar Uno, Ffriddoedd Village

SOCIALS:

  • We run socials every Wednesday night during term time.
  • We start at 7:30pm in Bar Uno, but keep an eye on our socials just in case this changes!
  • Every social has a theme and the theme will be different each week!
  • We do sober socials every couple weeks too, for those people who want to be involved in the club but don't want to drink (i.e. cafe visits, pumpkin picking and carving, pancake making, lunch/evening meals)
