WEEN21

Wales Ecology Evolution Network is a student run organisation which aims to promote post-graduate research and create a networking platform for early-career scientists at Welsh Universities. WEEN21 will be held at the Centre for Alternative Technology (Powys, Mid Wales) the weekend 3rd-5th December 2021. The conference will include talk and poster sessions, networking events, games, quizzes and a party on the Saturday night. We hope our broad theme of ecology and evolution relates to many working in biosciences, and encourage participants from diverse subject fields.

There is a registration fee of £50 or £30, depending on ticket type (including accommodation and meals). Travel costs are not included, though Reps may arrange for group transport from each university.

For more information on accommodation options visit: https://cat.org.uk/come-to-cat/stay/. Travel costs are not included, though committee members may arrange for car sharing from each University – just ask if you need assistance with transport.
COVID-19: The Centre for Alternative Technology have their own safety measures in place to minimise the risk of COVID transmission. These include restricted room sharing, social distancing and wearing masks inside. We request that all delegates take a lateral flow test 24 hours before travel to the venue. If you receive a positive test result, please DO NOT attend the conference  - let us know and we will refund your registration fee.
If you would like to attend, please submit this online form to confirm your attendance, accommodation type and whether you will be presenting. You can also opt for room sharing if you know someone else who will be attending – please give their name so we know who to pair you with. After submitting this form, you will receive an online form.

If you have any questions, the committee members at your University will be happy to help!

We look forward to seeing you in December!
Best wishes,
WEEN 2021 committee
