Staff at Bangor University have voted overwhelmingly to support industrial action in response to a flawed consultation process that threatens up to 78 job losses. The proposed cuts could severely impact education quality, student support, and Welsh-language provision.
Weโre incredibly proud of the role our student officers have played in standing up for students and staff. Former VP for Education, Rose Pugh, and current President, Yakubu Jidda, have been instrumental in raising concerns about the rushed and poorly communicated process, especially during the exam period, when student engagement was at its most difficult.
