In the last few months students have seen an alarming rise in cases of harassment and physical attacks around Bangor. It is time that the student body takes into account these issues and opens up the position next year for there to be a welfare councilor who's position it is to take issues surrounding welfare at university and raise it with the council, and work with other councilors and Sabatical Officers to campaign for a safer university and work to create a safer and healtheir environment for students to learn and prosper.
The position would be someone who tackles issues surrounding, mental, physical and emtional welfare and works to bring in new by-laws that help support all students.
