The university is introducing its popular £2 meal in Bar Uno from Tuesday 2nd May.  

Following the success of the introduction of the £2 meal in Café Teras and after discussions with the Students' Union, a survey was undertaken with staff and students.  This showed considerable support and demand for extending this service to Bar Uno. Therefore, we are delighted to announce that the same menu will be available in Bar Uno from Tuesday 2nd May from 12-2pm Monday to Friday until the end of term.

As well as providing a second convenient venue, it is hoped that this will help reduce the queuing times in Café Teras.

Tim Hogan, Manager of Bar Uno, said “We’re really excited to be offering this in Bar Uno, especially during a time when students are studying for exams.  It is great to be able to provide hot, healthy meals at an affordable price.”

Nyah Lowe, President of the Students’ Union added “We’ve been working with the University to support students as much as we can during the Cost of Living Crisis; £2 Meals is a big part of this work. We are very pleased to see the University listen to student feedback and help students keep costs down. We are proud to be able to collaborate on this together.”
