Once a month we will travel to different locations to survey the local bat population of the surrounding areas around Bangor. You will learn how to use specialist equipment like bat detectors and IR cameras and report the results to wildlife databases such as Cofnod.
Being respectful and quiet are essential during surveys!
Each week we will meet to go through the data we have collected and for activities including: presentations from experts and other students, training in acoustic analysis software, bat themed movie nights, arts and crafts, quizzes and more! You will be able to meet other students that share a passion for bats and get involved in more bat-related opportunities.
