Sbectrwm Kids Afterschool Club

This project organises weekly play sessions for children aged 6 to 12 years, who have an Autism diagnosis or are awaiting diagnosis. Children attend the Kids Room at the Activities Hub on Ffriddoedd site where the team of volunteers support them with fun activities whilst giving parents some time to themselves. Volunteers need to be full of energy and ideas and have some understanding of the Autistic Spectrum and will receive Autism Awarness Training through their role.

Key responsibilities

- Support at afterschool club sessions for children who have been or are awaiting diagnosis of Autism (age 6-12 years) - Help plan and deliver a range of activities, including arts and crafts, games, films, sessions use of the sensory room - Support on potential trips in the local area
