Wales Universities Officers' Training Corps (WUOTC) is a society like no other. Here, you'll have the opportunity to challenge yourself, develop new skills, make lifelong friends and experience military life alongside your degree.
Whether you've always wanted to try the Army or have never considered it before, WUOTC welcomes students from all backgrounds and experience levels.
Training and activities include fieldcraft, navigation, leadership exercises, adventurous training, fitness, shooting, expeditions and much more. There are also opportunities for skiing, mountaineering, kayaking, mountain biking and a whole host of other outdoor activities, both across the UK and around the world. Alongside this, you'll take part in training weekends, competitions and social events with students from universities across Wales.
Fancy representing the Army in a sport? You can do that too, with opportunities to compete in a huge range of sports at all levels.
But WUOTC is about more than military training. It's a chance to build confidence, leadership and teamwork skills that will benefit you throughout university and beyond — all while being more than your degree.
What you get out of WUOTC is up to you. You choose how much you get involved, what you want to achieve and the experiences you want to have. And there's no commitment to join the Army when you graduate.
Oh, and did we mention? You get paid for taking part.
So, what are you waiting for?
Join WUOTC. It starts now.
Training nights take place on Tuesday evenings at 19:00
Six training weekends take place throughout the year, followed by a two-week exercise in summer to finish off the year.
