First Time Room Lockout Free of Charge

    Current

      What do you want?

1st Chance Free Room Lockout Policy

Students living in halls should be allowed to get locked out of their rooms once without having to be charged a £5.00 fee, as it is normal to be forgetful during the year. Following that, any further oversight* would be charged the normal amount.

      *This excludes during Welcome Week.

      Why do you want it?

Much more tactful and advantageous strategy for both the students and security, as it makes students more mindful, while preventing any abuse or overflow.

It is incoherent that the service is free of charge during the month of September (overcrowding security), but students who never got locked out before are charged if it's passed that month.
