    Welcome Week at Undeb Bangor

    Welcome to Bangor! We are Undeb Bangor and we are your Students' Union.

    Get ready for an electrifying adventure, as the next three years of  your life unfolds in Bangor. While your education takes centre stage, brance yourself for a student experience that surpasses all expectations. Undeb Bangor is an essential ingredient in your journey towards excellence . With us by your side, you'll unlock a world of incredible opportunities, forge unbreakable bonds and triumph over all obstacles that come your way. We kick the semester off with Welcome Week and we host some of the week’s most significant events. Hold on tight and prepare to be amazed - this is just a taste of the extraordinary encounters that await you!

    Serendipity - Freshers' Fair

    When? Wednesday and Thursday 20th and 21st of September 2023

    What Time? 11am - 4pm

    Who is it for? This event is for every single student. Can't be in large crowds or noisy venues for any reason, join us for Quiet Hour.

    What is Quiet Hour? We realise that it's not possible for everyone to be in busy and loud spaces so we have an hour that is calmer quieter with a lot less traffic. Join us between 10am and 11am on both days for a quiet hour. 

    Where? Canolfan Brailsford; this is the gym on the Ffriddoedd Site

    What is it? Serendipity is our Freshers' Fair and it is hosted by us, Undeb Bangor, your students' union. Serendipity is the perfect opportunity for you, our students, to meet our sports clubs, societies and volunteering projects and choose which ones you want to be a part of. We welcome a variety of university departments to our fair, including our Employability Services, Housing Office and Bangor Sport to name just a few. The services join us so you learn more about what else other than a top-notch education system, the University has to offer you in the year ahead. Of course, freshers' fairs are renowned for freebies! That's right, we have oodles of companies attending and they just want to give you free things that will help you through the next year and help you settle into your new settings.

    Why Serendipity? Serendipity refers to the occurrence of fortunate and unexpected discoveries or pleasant surprises that happen by chance, often leading to delightful and serendipitous outcomes.

    Chill and Chat

    When? Saturday and Sunday 16th and 17th of September 2023

    Where? Undeb Bangor Activities Hub; above Bar Uno on the Ffriddoedd Site

    What Time? 7pm - 10.00pm

    Who is it for? Anyone can come along to our event!

    What is it? Busy pubs and clubs not your thing? Still want to socialise and meet like-minded people? Then our Chill and Chat event will be the perfect place for you. We will be inviting a few of our societies along for entertainment purposes so you can join in with some of their activities such as playing video games and board games, join in with some craft activities or even chat to some of our linguists in a different language.
