__________ uses teaching techniques other lecturers often cannot be bothered to use. Her understanding of 'teaching' rather than 'lecturing' is brilliant. Her lectures and seminars are interactive and she actively encourages students to get involved. They are often a success as rather than being told information, __________ makes students work hard in order to improve their own knowledge of the topic/subject. She supports study groups which encourage student to read around and discuss texts before seminars. This is helpful as students are made to use their time wisely, often when contact hours are low. She also encourages student -led seminars in the third of the __________ degree. This enables students to practice public speaking- a real transferable skill that is used in the work place.
__________ is both a module leader and a dissertation leader for me personally, and i cannot think of a better suitor for this award. He approaches every aspect of his teaching with flare and with a sense of vibrance. His module, "__________ " gives us students a chance to be in control of our own learning, and after all, isn't that just what we should be doing? He learns just as much from us as we do from him and under his guidance i have finally found out just how exciting education can and should be.
An amazing lecturer, who manages to make everything interesting and funny. The feedback from her assignments is always in depth and helpful. She devotes so much of her time to helping students (myself included) understand a difficult topic. She always makes time for a one-to-one chat if you have a problem, be it module related or not. She uses students in her examples and makes lectures interactive which is difficult when there are 250 students. And the students who volunteer to help often get chocolate :)
