Undeb Bangor student through the SSAG have developed a Campus greening and City greening project working in partnership with local stakeholders with the aim of:
- Planting of fruit trees of local species within Bangor
- Providing free fruit for the population, increasing health and population wellbeing
- Educating community groups, local people and students to increase public planting on private or wasted city ground and raise awareness of the benefits of urban greening
- Collecting stories from students on why trees are important and how trees have shaped our society, landscape and lives to contribute to the UK Charter for Trees, Woods and People.
Collaborating with students from sister University - Makerere University, Uganda to promote greening strategies within their communities.
