What has the Students’ Union achieved? Those free sports clubs and societies; we did that. The freeing up of Wednesday afternoons; that was us. Developing the University’s first truly student-led Mental Health and Well-Being Strategy acting upon your feedback and responding to your needs. We don’t stop there; we give back to the community and have 50 active volunteering projects, with 450 regular student volunteers and 220 one off student volunteers; we also have 63 sports clubs and 113 societies. The Student Experience Report is one of our proudest pieces of work it’s a report entirely based on what you tell us about your academic experience through our Annual Student Survey. We work with the University to implement recommendations on how you can work in partnership with the University to improve your experience by shaping how you’re taught, how you progress, to how you want your experience to look and feel.
We would never be able to do this without working closely with our students to understand what they want and need. We work for our student community.
