Get Involved in Volunteering

Student Volunteering Bangor (SVB) is a department within the Students’ Union which provides on average 750 opportunities for Bangor University students to volunteer each academic year, over 38 community projects. SVB volunteers currently contribute a total of 600 hours each week which promotes a close relationship between the university and the local community.

SVB has a vision that it should be commonplace for students to volunteer whilst they are at university and that the Students’ Union should do everything it can to support, promote and develop student volunteering.

Join Our Mailing List to Find Out More

If you would like to know more about volunteering on one of our projects join our mailing list to receive regular emails notifying you when new volunteering opportunities become available.

You can sign up for ‘one-off’ activities as and when they arise but for most of our regular projects, volunteers will need to apply for a place. Once you sign up to the mailing list we will let you know when the projects are recruiting.

You can also email us, visit us at the SVB office in the Students’ Union, 4th Floor, Pontio or download our Guide to Volunteering to find out more about what we do. You can also find us on Facebook.
