Its time to improve your programming skills with R society! New for 2019, it’s the hottest society in Bangor. Students who do scientific subjects have to use programmes such as R, SPSS and Python regularly, but learning them can be slow and frustrating if you don’t know what you’re doing. What you need to get better is practice and that’s something we can do together at R soc. Once a week, we get together in Deiniol Library and work through an exercise on R, SPSS or Python together, then we all head to the pub for a pint. It should be a fun and engaging way to learn, and since many employers like to see that you have experience in these programming languages, this will improve your chances of getting a sweet job when you graduate. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact one of our committee members. R you ready?
