Bangor Marrow is a part of the network of lifesaving students who work with the blood cancer charity, Anthony Nolan. There are over 50 Marrow groups, with hundreds of student volunteers (like us!) in universities across the country, who are all working towards one thing - saving lives with stem cells. 

14 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with blood cancer. For someone with blood cancer, a stem cell transplant could be their last chance of survival. At Anthony Nolan, we match incredible people willing to donate their stem cells, to people with blood cancer who are in desperate need of a lifesaving transplant. 

Marrow recruit one in four people who go on to donate stem cells, which means hundreds of lives are potentially saved by Marrow's incredible work.

We are a small, friendly, and welcoming volunteering society affiliated with Anthony Nolan. We raise funds for the charity and sign people up to the stem cell register. Volunteering with us is rewarding and looks great on your CV. 900+ POTENTIAL DONORS RECRUITED & £6,000+ RAISED!

Since our foundation, we have recruited 900+ people onto the stem cell register; that's potentially 930 lives saved & 3 volunteers have donated! Through bake sales and challenge events such as skydives and bike rides, we have raised £6,000+; that money goes towards specialist nurses, research, and everything to do with donating stem cells.
