James Avison has recently studied MSc Business with Consumer Psychology and BSc Product Design with International Experience here at Bangor University. He has been elected to serve as your Vice President for Education.
James grew up in Nottinghamshire before moving to Bangor to begin his studies in 2015. In his spare time he enjoys cycling, tennis, and performing arts.
For the 2017-18 academic year he took part in the Erasmus program and did a work placement at DTT Multimedia in the Netherlands, designing and testing apps.
Throughout his time at Bangor he has been passionate about making positive change within the University and being elected as your VP for Education has given him the opportunity to make a huge difference and improve student welfare.
James is committed to listen to student’s concerns, especially regarding the impact the Covid-19 pandemic may have on their studies. His priorities for this year are: Sustainability, Employability, Mental Health Support, and Post-Brexit International Student Support.
