#CARNIFAL19

What is Carnifal?

First set up in 2018, Carnifal is a month-long event, held in February, co-ordinated by The Sustainability Lab. It aims to promote and celebrate student-, undeb-, or university-led events advocating sustainability.

2019:

This year Carnifal is being revamped to get student engagement as high as 2018's social media outreach! The event is still co-ordinated by the S-Lab, in partnership with Undeb Bangor, Campus Life and the university, but we're switching to a more student-led approach.

Carnifal 2019.

How to get involved - It's simple:

We want to know about YOUR events! All club captains/chairs/project leaders will be sent the Carnifal19 logo and Facebook banner. Let's make Carnifal bigger and better than last year!

Promoting your events:

(1) Use Facebook events and add co-hosts as: Undeb BangorThe Sustainability Lab, Campus Life and Bangor University.

(2) Use the Carnifal logo/banner where possible.

(3) Promote with #Carnifal19!

During your events:

(1) Student take-over of Facebook/Instagram stories.

(2) Any content, use the #Carnifal19 hashtag!

(3) Event hosts (if possible) make a note of number of people attending your event or use #NUMBERattended.

Previous Years:

2017:

Bangor held it's first-ever Sustainability Week in May 2017. Organised by the S-Lab in partnership with different university departments a variety of activities were organised and attended throughout the week. It was a great success!

Sustainability Week.

Success.

2018:

With the success of the previous year, the S-Lab co-ordinated the Sustainability Carnifal month-long event to replace the Sustainability Week. In partnership with different university departments created a calendar of over 100 events to take place in February 2018. #Carnifal was used to promote events across Twitter and Facebook.
