Dominic currently works in the Higher Education Strategy and Policy team at the Department for Education (DfE). His portfolio primarily focuses on flexible learning and the Higher Education and Research Bill.
He joined DfE from the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), where he was responsible for their stakeholder engagement. In former posts at QAA Dominic led a review of student assessment practices in UK higher education and worked to embed the student voice into QAA’s processes.
Previously Dominic has worked at the University Alliance, where he was responsible for their learning and teaching policy. He also worked at the National Coordinating Centre for Public Engagement, helping to embed public engagement into higher education. In the earlier parts of his career he undertook policy support work in the Vice-Chancellor’s office at UWE Bristol and he’s a former President of the Students’ Union at UWE.
In his spare time Dominic enjoys swimming and riding the London Underground.
